About Portfolios
All agreements need to be linked to a portfolio. Portfolios are normally used for categorizing agreements in reporting or routing postings into different accounts in accounting. One example of portfolio usage is when you need to split instruments between hedge accounting and non-hedge accounting items.
If you cannot figure out any usage for a portfolio, just create one and use it to all agreements.
Register Portfolio
In the Register Portfolio Overview section you will have a summary view of all of all your Portfolios. New Portfolios can be created from “Add new”-tab, import from excel, or if you have existing companies, simply change the data.
Portfolio Overview fields:
Short name
This is the name that comes to all agreement forms. We recommend that you keep this as short as possible.
Description
Here you describe the cost center in more detail.
Will be assigned for imported deals - tab
When you are importing deals (ie. FxAll & 360T), you need to select this active tab for one portfolio. Following this step, the agreement will be assigned for this portfolio by default. You can then go and change the portfolio for a different one after the import.
One idea is to import all deals to “Imported”-portfolio. This will allow you to recognize which deals have been imported.
Portfolio import from Excel
First, click on the ‘Import tab’. From ‘Download sample’, you can get the import excel template that you can use for the import. You can bring 50 portfolios at once.
Once you have filled in all your portfolios and saved the file into your computer, make sure to check the file for readability and click import.
